Boonville 2015 Part 2

Postby Roanoker » Sun Sep 17, 2017 6:27 am

We just left the hotel. It’s right next to the big and wide Missouri River.
Image

This must have been across the street. We’re on foot.
Image

You know me. Found flowers. These seem bejeweled.
Image

These love the sun.
Image

You can see the original 3:2 image in the middle. The background is a portion of the picture. I cut a few pieces out of the top layer to allow flowers underneath to show through.
Image

This beautiful red leaf caught my eye. It deserved to have its picture taken.
Image

Do you remember the concept of “vanishing point” in art class?
Image

The Mighty Mo. And sky.
Image

Time to get off the bridge and run to the bus.
Image

Here’s a shot of the famous bluff everybody has seen while crossing the river at this point. I was going to clone out the stupid reflection of bus windows, but why bother? It was there. Deal with it.

We visited a Missouri winery called, “Les Bourgeois Vineyards.”

This kid did a good job as tour guide. Very entertaining and gracious.

You are certainly welcome, ldai_phs. Thank you for looking and commenting.

These are the last pictures from the Boonville trip on 10/20/15, which lasted for only one day.

We are visiting the inside of a winery.
Image

My son is looking inside one of the tanks. I guess you could say he was tanked.
Image

I’m not sure what the subject of this portrait-oriented image was. I made two copies and set each at an angle on the side.
Image

The tank machinery wasn’t all that interesting (to me, anyway), so I applied a neon filter to the image.
Image

Explaining the process.
Image

Put a cork in it.
Image

Checking the label. This was a portrait-oriented image. I used part of it for the background and cut a little off the side of the foreground.
Image

Something about barrels. I’m pretty sure he said people could purchase them after they were no longer needed.
Image

Well, now we’re back to what interests me.
Image

Wasn’t the sky pretty?
Image

Everyone gathered for tastings.
Image

Having already returned to our vehicle after the bus trip, we saw firefighters climbing a rock layer to deal with whatever was causing smoke.
