Same day, more pictures.

That last flower was so pretty, I had to get another angle.


Parrots all around.


See? Well, maybe that’s the same one. But doesn’t he have personality?


This is a different one, unless he changed clothes.


My traveling companions.


The flowers and purple leaves were pretty enough without my messing with them, but I like the effect.


The background was too much competition, so I applied a lens blur. Now the flowers jump out at you as if in 3D.


So what can you do with just trees and water?


Another parrot? Maybe it’s just a colorful blanket.


Going with the wind. And the branches.


“Okay. I’ll pose for you. Where’s my cracker?"


Funny looking bird. You wouldn’t believe all the things I did with this image to get it halfway presentable.

I don’t know what kind of bird this is, but he has pretty colors.


If you have to live in a zoo, I guess this spot is as good as any.


Can’t pass up a good flower.


“But you said I could have friends over."


“Anybody have a tight shoe you can’t get into?"


This parrot was so photogenic, close and cooperative. That’s my son’s shirtsleeve on the right.


“Yes, I will pose for you. Mind the tail."


“Are you going to kiss me?


“You do plan to pay me, don’t you?"


A truly odd bird.


This is the last picture I got on the 1gb card I had in my digital camera.


I dug up another card so I could take more pictures that day. I got this picture of a bear sign. Or is it a fox?

These purple leaves are magical. They have a surreal appearance on their own. But even more so with a couple of filters.


This is what happens when you observe monkeys too long.


Venturing into a formidable tree tunnel.


This zoo has a lot of animal statues. Bronze?


If you were an orangutan and you looked down, this is what you would see.


These might be your in-laws. Mom doesn’t look happy.


“Will you get off my back!"


This zoo has a desert.


My son checks out the desert garden.


If you have to be cactus, you may as well do it up right.


“I’m the bow. Where’s the package?"

On the left is the close-up top of the original image. On the right is the bottom, appearing to be smaller.


Yes, I applied a filter to just the blooms. They were a bit blurred, and I couldn’t sharpen them satisfactorily.


We weren’t really in Australia.
