Kinda old news...May & Co. pulled the plug on KC brand the Jones Store at its Omaha location. They only had one store at Westroads Mall. Younkers is moving over Jones' spot. Westroads just opened a new wing with Galyan's in it.
May & Co. also is closing Famous Barr in Des Moines at Merle Hay Mall and is aborting plans to build a new store at upscale Jordan Creek Town Center in West Des Moines. Younkers is taking Famous Barr's spot at General Growth -developed Jordan Creek.
These plans were part of a major round of store closings for May & Co.
