Just about anything you can think of. Lots of 1900 business cards from everyone in K.C. at the time. The city blue book, reports from Fire and Police.

I was amazed with the fake paper someone printed from 100 years in the future (2001 edition). Most of the predictions they made came true!

Funny how forward thinking they where back then.

Seems like we are not on pace with the past. What has happened in the first half of this Decade?  A new century but still going down the same road to who knows where.

I'll grab some pics of the contents of the old box and post then in a day or two.

There should be a tape of this in the Library as someone was doing a multi camera switch of the event. Don't know if it was the City channel or KC150 but it has to be available somewhere.

I did a single camera shoot and had a blast but would love to get a copy of the switched shoot.

Amazing! Thanks for posting those! Are the contents of the Century Box on display anywhere? And when can we see your documentary?

I had to break up the clips and compress them so I could upload them.
We will see if they are watchable?

They seem watchable. Thanks for taking all the time to put these together. I'm gonna have to set aside some extra viewing time though for them.

Interesting that at the time of the 1901 box the things they didn't foresee, world wars killing millions but unbridled economic progress too.

I also donated a copy to the public Library. Don't know if they will make it available or not. Guess they will send me info if the do or don't.

Nobody seems to know about the opening of the Century box. It was on sidplay at Union Station but it has been moved and no one person can tell me where it is now. Go figure. I asked at Union Station and the Library and each time I got a blank look.

Somewhere in this town is the 1901 box and the 2001 box. Didn't have time to track them down.
They where thinking of displaying to old box on an Organ that was melted in the fire of the first convention hall
