"YOU ARE HERE" Exhibit on Display at the Box Gallery.
Commerce Bank Building (1000 Walnut St, Suite 200)
"Looks back in time at the immediate area surrounding the Box Gallery at 10th and Walnut, focusing on the period between 1900 and 1930. Almost all of the buildings at that time are no longer here. Using historic photographs and memorabilia, curator Bruce Bettinger presents a picture of life during an exciting time in the history of Kansas City."
This exhibit actually made me incredibly sad. Such beautiful buildings used to line these streets. Incredible facades and interiors destroyed. And why?
