Awesome pictures. Thanks for posting.

Not sure about the mystery picture - could it be looking north towards a dead-end at Armour in midtown?

It looks like it was on Grand - and then moved to Union Station? Or vice versa? Regardless, it was a temporary WWI deal. Would be cool if they had moved it up to Penn Park and had it as part of the Liberty Memorial.

Yeah, I read that the arch was just a temporary wooden structure.

All of these photos went away over the weekend. Any chance they will be back?

Just saw this interesting photo. The Hotel Continental and Hotel Kansas Citian buildings are gone, aren't they?

Also, interesting that 909 Walnut used to have a doppler radar on top.

The Continental is the Mark Twain building. Everything in front of the Continental in that first photo is gone, though. The school in the foreground of number 3 is gone, as is the building north of the Aladdin. The school is the loading dock for the convention center now, and the building next to the Aladdin is part of the Marriott complex.

The Macy's on the Kaw pix that follow are cool too. I remember the cutting through the bluff.
Very sad.
