Aerial of urban core.

Took this over the weekend, thought it was kinda neat.

When I look at this photo, I see the need to develop more high-density residential and office buildings along the north-south grid of Broadway, Southwest Trafficway, Main, Grand, Oak/Gillham Road, and even Troost. This would better connect all the activity nodes of River Market, Downtown, Crossroads, Crown Center, Midtown, Westport, and the Plaza.

You see a line of residential buildings along Brush Creek running east and west. The City needs to do more to encourage that development north and south.

pretty awesome -- too bad you couldn't squoosh the Nelson in there as well. Maybe you can Photoshop it in

Or use a wide angle next time.

The line of tall buildings along Brush Creek is really impressive....and that does not even include the sizeable Stowers Institute complex.

I'd like to see an aerial shot of the plaza from kansas, i bet that is a nice shot

I have always wondered how different KC would be if all the development that is on the plaza were instead in the crossroads area and about 25% of the office space that went to JoCo had gone up downtown and crown center instead.

KC would be a different animal today.

I was thinking about your photo a little more this morning. I think this photo ought to be the "face" of KC from here on out replacing (or in addition) to the ubiquitous shot from Liberty Memorial. Your photo really shows KC for the big city that it is and gives a much larger feel than the Liberty Memorial/Union Station shots...
