Bbqboy,
What's the story on this? I read a small article on Wiki about it. Were you ever there? Is the spring still running? Sounds like, from the article, that the spring is on private property and down in a gully(?). More pix, please if you've got them! I did a Streetview drive-by but couldn't see anything.

my mother used to play in it as a kid. she's 89. I believe KCK walled it up. Should be at about 38th and and Ruby.
I couldn't see it in the streetview either. I'll have to get out my history of argentine book and report back.

edit:
DL, I don't have my scanner hooked up, but my Centennial History of Argentine from 1980 describes the relocation of the Shawnee to the area and the spring being on the property of Jack Beemont. I'll hook it up tomorrow as it has a picture of Bluejacket returning to locate the grave and a
reproduction of a painting of the prophet inside the council house.

I recall reading about that spring.
There is no fifth destination.

There was a large professional class into the 1970's.moderne wrote: Parkwood was a very early JC Nichols development! KCK had a lot going for it and a large professional class prior to WWII.
