Here are just a few photos that I managed to get on my way to work this morning. I plan to post more later tonight, when I get more. Feel free to add your own.
I love the Municipal Auditorium. I wonder if the fans going into Municipal are aware of the basketball history of the building? Or do they think it's some old seen-better-days arena that KC dragged out of mothballs to host the tournament.

I'd have to say it's both. Otherwise, they'd still be playing the men's Big 12 tourney there.
Truly hard to believe that's the Krooked City we've known for all these lost years.
Midwestern people are fat, but so are Southerners, West Coasters, and East Coasters. Iowa is partic bad due to harsh winters and nothing to do. So they eat.
Dumb question but what is the large grayish cylindrical object at the top of the picture near the entrance to the Live Block in the next-to-last photo? It looks like construction equipment or is it actually a permenant part of the district (e.g., a GB beer implement or something akin to that)?

Awesome pictures you all! I was there for parts of the tournament and it was rockin'. Even at lunch at KCLive, it was great out and lots of people out watching the NCAAs on the big screen. Cheers!
Ditto. Awesome. I may try to get some over the weekend festivities to share. Also, while watching the beginning of the Texas v Iowa State game on TV, the sports announcers/commentators give major props to the Sprint Center and Power & Light District as the best venue for this type of event in the country. I thought that was uber cool.
