Carmen's on the Blvd.

Post by KCPowercat »

Went to Carmen's on the Blvd. (the one off Southwest Blvd) last weekend. Pretty solid place. Good italian food. Waiters seem to play favorites....wife and I weren't offered any kind of wine, etc. in fact they snatched up our glasses before we could even be offered. Also, we didn't know until another table was offered it, but it looks like they offer some pretty good olive oil mixture with their bread....of course our waiter didn't offer it to us.....same waiter offered it to the table beside us....very strange.

Good food and not very busy for a Saturday night.....I hear the one in Brookside is packed constantly.

One of my favorite Italian places in town. Its basically Garozzo's, but better. Brookside is always crowded, so I was happy that the new location was closer and usually a bit less of a wait.

The dipping sauce is good - you'd better like garlic. I haven't quite figured the system out yet either. Sometimes we don't get it, sometimes we ask for it and get charged, and sometimes its complimentary. Service can be a bit spotty, but the food is great.
