We went for dinner tonight.  It was decent.  Not in my top Thai experiences ever, but it was pretty good.

Behind the "for sale" sign at a Thai restaurant
"They think we're closed," Susie said. "But we're not saying goodbye right now."

For those who drool over Willy's noodle dishes and Susie's salads, that's great news. But so is knowing that you can still walk in the front door at 1513 Grand Blvd. and be fussed over as if you were someone special.

"They're just a wonderful, amazing family," customer Leanne Wasleski said.

Anyone have the scoop on this place's estimated opening date, if ever? I'm not holding my breath due to how long it has already taken, but I did recently notice they have a full menu up on the website, and it looks like they have made more progress on the interior recently. On the downside, the phone number listed on the website appears to be a cell phone voicemail, and the Facebook page hasn't been updated since March.

The last article about it was a while back:

IIRC, the original owner bailed. Someone else is still opening in the spot, but changed the name from SE-Asia Bistro to Mi-Asia Bistro. Progress on the space has been moving (slightly) faster since the change in owners.
