Best Hamburger
The westport flea market thread got me thinking....time to vote for the Best Burger in KC...I'm not even going to put up a poll...completely open ended. Try to put Top 3 so we can have some variety since we have limited members.
Maybe later I'll add more categories...we could have our own "best of KC" awards.....
1) Westport Flea Market
2) LC's (the one by Barry Rd)
3) Tanners

The best burger used to be at Maid-Rite. The last one closed down about 8 years ago. There was one in Ward Parkway and another on Vivion Rd. off of N. Brighton. They made rolled chuck burgers. Loose hambuger spooned onto a bun. I loved those things. Now the only wasy i can get 'em is if I make them myself.

I think the best one's at Max's Autodiner on Wornall. LC's up north is good, too. Can't think of a #3 off the top of my head.
The worst is the "burger" you get at Royals games. Yecccch.

not really a "burgers" kinda guy but i would have to say that LC's in the northland has the most kick-ass burgers ever. always stop there on the way to the airport or when going to mom's and pop's.

their burgers ain't nuthin' special. what you want to get when you go to town topic is the "truckstop". awesome! omelet with either ham, sausage or beef with the hashbrowns mixed right in and toast on the side. mmmmmmmmmmm.

I was gonna mention the "truckstop", but I couldn't remember what it was called. Last time I was in there someone else was getting one...I saw that thing & thought "Oh, maaaaaaaaaaan".

Which non-chain burger joints have those fat steak fries? Those are the best, but I rarely see them, even as an option. Any recommendations for anywhere in the metro would be appreciated.

I gotta say, Fred P. Ott's makes a damn fine burger. Probably not the best, especially when up against the flea, but damn fine just the same.
