Dog friendly patios and places

Post by earthling »

Seeking more dog friendly patios/places, especially in the city.

Midtown
Westport: Char Bar, Sweet Siam, Californos, Ca Va, Port Fonda, McCoy's, Broadway Cafe, Blind Tiger (back patio too), Cancun, Julep, Andy's Custard, Fidel's Cigars (inside too), Ace Hardware (inside), Standard Pour (rear patio), WP Ice Cream, Starbucks (Southmoreland)
Sidewalk Water Bowls: Westport Ice Cream, Westport Saloon, Teadrops

W39th: Fric&Frac, Drunken Worm, MO Brew
Water Bowls: Miami Ice

Martini Corner: Ollie's

Valentine/Armour:

Downtown
Loop: Flying Saucer
Xroads: Torn Label, Rieger, Grinders, Antons (rear), Cellar Rat (inside)
River Market:
Water Bowls: Blue Line, Opera House

Plaza: Zoe's Kitchen, Ott's, Panera
Water Bowls: Tivol, Brighton

Brookside:

Waldo:

Downtown NKC

Other areas: Read though thread

Etiquette
- Might avoid very busy patios especially Fri/Sat nights at places like Char Bar, McCoy's, Ca Va or where there are a lot of people standing. Dogs can get in the way or stepped on.
- Keep leash short on patios and on busy sidewalks.
- Bring poop bags.

Will edit with updates mentioned in thread.

For the Crossroads: Torn Label, Rieger (when it's warm enough for outdoor seating)

W. 39th:
Miami Ice has a water bowl
Fric & Frac has outdoor seating for all and the occasional piece of bacon for favored pups.

Good topic.

Anton's back area. In NKC Chicken and Pickle usually has a few dogs around, pretty sure the o breweries in NKC are cool with dogs on their patios (cinder block, calibration and big rip)

Ollie's on 31st has a nice shaded patio and will bring water for your dog.

Standard pour will let you bring dog to their back patio and bring your dog water.

Xroads: Cellar Rat doesn't have a patio, but dogs are welcome inside and will get treats and fussing. (Would not recommend this when it's crowded for a tasting or First Friday, though.)

They don't have a patio but I've seen dogs in Call Sign, and I think I've seen a dog or two at Velo Garage, too.

Also Zoo Bar is dog-friendly if well-behaved, they even keep a big water bowl filled just inside the front door.

Bar K opened their permanent location down by Berkeley Park.

I'm guessing that's been mentioned somewhere around here.

If you haven't been down to the Riverfront to check out Bar K, it's well worth visiting.
This has to be among the most successful launches of a bar and grill operation of any kind.
