Homeslice Pizza & Pints

Post by scooterj »

I wouldn't have thought anyone would be ballsy enough to ever put another bar and/or pizza hut in this location, but best of luck to them!

Opening in 6 weeks (according to the web site teaser) in a certain very high-profile but also infamous location just south of Sprint Center.

Is that the Dukes on Grand location? Downtown needs pizza-by-slice places but just walkup counters with small seating, not a sit-down restaurant of that size.

Yep, Dukes On Grand. I really would have thought that place could never even be a bar of any kind again, let alone one that sells pizza. They're going to have to work hard to overcome the stigma of the predecessor.

Good luck to them but they'd be better off finding a smaller counter location along the streetcar line.

Downtown could use more bars with a setup like Joe's Pizza/Kelly's in Westport, where they can serve pizza (or other small/hand eats) to the bar but also have their own sidewalk counter with separate entrance.
