Maybe Mark Levin will show up to excoriate Obama for being a Marxist with his weird weasel voice.

Seriously, that guy is smart and well-read, yet he somehow manages to come off like a shrill know-nothing. I find myself respecting a fair amount of what he says and then disregarding it when he goes on his asinine lunatic rants. Does it really progress political dialog to repeatedly call Rahm Emmanuel "the creepy ballerina"? What the hell? Die in a fire.

Sprint Center continues to book more touring events (granted, mass appeal events) than any other arena in the US - at the moment, 1 more event than Madison Sq Garden.  There are benefits to not having a sports anchor it seems.

This is a good thing and I can't figure out why that dude over at TKC is always cryin' about not having a team in there.

Because while this outcome is good for AEG and top 40 music fans, having a pro sports team in there would fill a lot bigger quantity of overall nights and thus would be better for other DT businesses.

"According to a Sprint Center official, Friday's show [George Strait and Reba McIntyre] attracted the arena's "largest concert attendance": 18,045."

I had no idea they were such a huge draw!

It depends on how the arena is configured.  Most only allow for 12-14K seats. Sounds like they must be doing 'theater in the round' setup with maybe more floor seats.

They're one of those bands that stations like the BUZZ around the country have started to play A LOT in the past couple of years. My guess is that they are on a major that has a business connection with whatever company owns all of these stations.

Technically they are talented, but are basically like a bad Queen without any of the self-deprecating humor that Queen was great at.
