Re: Waterside Development
It looks like a Menards to me. The narrow building behind it would be the covered lumber yard area.

Yes. Definitely looks like one. About time they broke ground on developing that area next to the waterpark.

This thread must not be about the Waterside apartment complex in Lenexa.

No. It's a new shopping center adjacent to Schlitterbahn in KCK, next door to the new Dairy Farmers of America headquarters.

What a wasted opportunity - that area was initially proposed to house a Scheel's and hotels that would be connected to Schlitterbahn via boat or lazy river-type attraction. Ending up with Menard's, auto mall, etc.

Re: Waterside Development
Oh yeah. It has "evolved" over the years. I half expect the Schlitterbahn to be for sale soon. The Verruckt disaster has to have had a very negative impact on their operation there (which of course was not even close to the concept they pitched years ago). And who doesn't combine home improvement shopping with water park outings?kcjak wrote:What a wasted opportunity - that area was initially proposed to house a Scheel's and hotels that would be connected to Schlitterbahn via boat or lazy river-type attraction. F2 maybe Petsmart or B. Pet Stuff but hopping for one not in KC area yet.
F3 Shoes hopping Shoe Wearhouse because Plaza Speedway Shops is to get a Shoe place to and that could be DSW.
F4 Arts and Crafts Michaels or Hobby Lobby but hopping new to KC area.
F1 could fit the size of like a Sprouts or Fresh Thyme Market.
P1 could fit the size of Junior Department Store.
H1-2 hopefully Sit Down and new to KC area and P2 Drive-Thru.
B2 and F6 Junior Anchors like Here Today or Dunham Sports or Kansas Sampler.
