And of course they are asking for incentives. As usual. But I hope they do something nice there; it's been ugly for years.

We don't otherwise it would already be occupied by a business.

Turn it into apartments

It's too bad that Menards pulled out. It would have been the largest store in the chain... The IHOP outparcel is empty too, but Denney's and Krispy Kreme are good tenants.

As is Winsteads. I'm happy there's a plan, but doubt it will be mixed use. Merriam is pretty blase about pushing back on developers and that spot has been empty a long time.

Not living in KC I have to say that I was pleasantly impressed with Winstead's. I've only ever been to the ones on 135th and 95th, though.

No Winsteads on 95th. I could name Food places that would be good not in that area. Sky Golf,Revolution. Academy Sports and Outdoors or Gander Mountain? Sam's Club or Costco? Supercenter Walmart? Meijer? Theme Park?

Uh, yes, there is a Winstead's on 95th, just west of Quivira. Unless it closed.

There was but it closed in Aug 2015

The 95th store has Yelp reviews back to 2008 so it's been open a while.

Yes there is! Walked there from my hotel back in September. It's over by Sam's Club and the rest of those half dead and decrepit strip malls across from the mall. I was the only person eating there and the restaurant was in bad shape, but I thoroughly enjoyed the experience in my waiter was A man who would recently gotten out of prison and you could tell he was really trying to turn his life around. I've been visiting Oak Parm Mall for nearly 25 years now so I'm fairly familiar with the area.
