Sprouts Corporate Communications Manager said the company had nothing to announce at this time, but that it would be revealing its 2016 plans for expansion in the Kansas City area sometime this fall.

There was a rumor at one time that Sprouts was looking for a downtown KC location.

Having now visited The Fresh Market (yes, I was in so JoCo), I am hopeful that they are looking for a downtown project to marry too.

Great selection, fairly priced though upscale. Almost NO national brands in any isle.

One of the nicest grocers I have visited.......

Just look past the store decor above product level. Somebody let their untalented daughter-in-law have her way with that piece of the development.

I am a really big fan of the Fresh Market, I don't think they would ever go downtown. They do build in the city but tend to locate in more upscale locations of the city like Oak Lawn/Turle Creek in Dallas, Midtown Memphis, River Oaks in Houston . So its very possible they locate near the plaza or South Plaza but they would never go downtown.

Went to the sprouts in Lee's Summit today. Can't think of a bad thing to say. Great produce, great prices. Would be an great fit downtown. Liked it way more than Trader Joe's.
