Dear God Almighty...
Haven't been to NFM yet, but the best furniture store I've been to is Abdiana Futon in downtown...too bad I can only afford Big Lots
The Pendergast Poltergeist Project!
I finally divorced beer and proposed to whiskey, but I occassionally cheat with fine wine.

Dear God Almighty...
Abdiana is liquidating it's top floors and will only be selling futons. They are looking to lease the top floors.
Suburban Sprawl - Cut down all of the trees and name the streets after them.
Dear God Almighty...
I know that building. I remember them building it in the middle of a football field. My mother grew up in St. Ann, off of Ashby close to Hoech Middle School. That side of the family all grew up in the area and went to Ritenour. (Everybody- my mom, aunt, uncles and my cousins.)Yes. St. Ann is adjacent to Bridgeton.....just down St Chas Rock Road past Holman Jr High (now an admin building only).

Cool. My mom went to Holman when it was Pattonville High.phxcat wrote:I know that building. I remember them building it in the middle of a football field. A lot of my family's friends went to Ritenour back in the day.....the 50's and 60's.
I went to a private school up by McCluer H.S. on Elizabeth Road, but, living in Bridgeton, most of my friends went to Pattonville. Pirate football sucked back in the 80's, but, I went to a lot of games anyway. One sure W, no matter how bad they were in any given year, was against Ritenour. Kinda like MU used to always throttle K State year in and year out for decades no matter how bad the Tigers were.
I had a lot of church softball practices on Hoech's ball diamond's when I was in h.s.

Dear God Almighty...
Abdiana has done a nice job of cleaning up the 20th St and Grand corner. Not long after they moved in and renovated, along came that costume manufacturer across the street.Brooksider wrote:Abdiana is liquidating it's top floors and will only be selling futons. Things look a lot better on that corner now that the Western Auto Lofts are being completed and the other buildings on either side of Grand are becoming occupied.
