I'll be surprised if Sears Holdings survives 2017.

I kind of want to buy the stock. Even though the store is going to die, they still have some juicy real estate that they own and might attract a buyer

You would be a fool to. They've been selling their land ownership off for years to a separate company and getting short term operating money in return. It's called Seritage

The board paid out a settlement over the claim the CEO was enriching himself at the expense of Sears shareholders, which appears to be true
