Cookingham and 169

Post by northlander152 »

There is a lot of outrage about the proposed rezoning at Cookingham and 169. The renderingings make it look like it may be a Walmart but other clues lead to it being a HyVee.

The design is definently a Walmart. The auto repair center gives it away.

I don't get this. If you don't want big box stores then why do you live in the suburbs which are built around big box stores? This is an honest question.

As far as I can tell, it's not big box stores in general (my Northland-residing coworkers are lusting over Costco opening next month), but alas, Walmart brings in the poors, so it's unwanted.
