According to this article, a new branch library will be built right up against a pre-Civil War mansion, in the Shoal Creek district.

I heard about that years ago. I thought it had been built already.

It's almost done with construction. It's off Flintlock, and very close to numerous subdivisions, retail, and the area has seen huge growth and potential.

I know the area. It's easier to drive downtown than on Barry Road through that area.

By the way, this new branch opened back in June.
