The one on Linwood is the original Lamar's that was started in a former gas station, so of course it doesn't look as nice as the newer ones. At the moment it is closed due to Mr. Lamar retiring, but is supposed to reopen soon under the ownership of his children.

I agree Krispy Kreme is the only time I like the national chain over local.

yeah peeps out here practically consider it the big grains box at the bottom of the food pyramid. they are downed by the pound it seems at times. as for me, i've had one and read the nutrition info on the box and won't even touch them from now on. even though i won't eat them they still ARE very good.

KC is already one of the fattest cities in America and now it'll be home to a Krispy Kreme factory serving a 500 mile radius?

it's going to be somewhere up around the airport the article said, in an existing building. i can't remember the name of the road though- it was in an article i read online. i wanna say up around NW112th but not for sure.

I don't eat donuts, but I too must admit Krispy fries a mean donut. I've tried them twice, but my "ideal weight" maintenance prevents further experimentation with them.

There is a good donut shop off Barry just across from Outback & Zona Rosa.
They have a Krispy Kreme type place and great donuts. A mom and pop place.
Friendly cheery folk work there. Even at 5AM.
