I can live with or without Braum's and Whataburger. They are good, but in the end, are just more burger options like Culver's and Freddy's.

White Castle isn't a hamburger joint, it's White Castle....in a league of it's very own with no competition.

Not sure what to make of those other places you mentioned. Sounds like some grocery stores and stuff. Not sure how another grocery store could survive in the already saturated, highly competitive supermarket market going on in JoCo and elsewhere in the metro.

All we have is Price Chopper and Hy-Vee. I don't count Sun Fresh because just on MO side,Aldi,Hen House,Save A Lot don't count so doesn't Target,Walmart,Organic Groceries and so on.

Publix would be awesome if they would come here. Only thing better than Lion's Choice is a Publix sub.

Stopped at the Independence Lion's Choice the other day and... it was kinda meh? The meat was overcooked, almost gray. I didn't ask for it well-done. Maybe it's just new restaurant jitters for the staff. But I hope they know what roast beef is supposed to look like.

Drove through tonight in a snowstorm. Sandwiches were perfect. 10/10 would skid through rush hour to them again.

The Google Reviews seem to be very mixed. The biggest complaint is the portion size but that is pretty typical for Midwestern people since we value quantity over quality.

I've never been disappointed in the portion size even at the ones in St Louis. I would say it's probably better to just get 2 sandwiches and skip the drink and fries
