My wife went on Sunday afternoon and said the wait at the concession stands was ridiculous. Hopefully, they get that corrected soon. Overall, it is a great improvement from what it used to be.

We went mid-renovation and they had boxes full of those chairs everywhere in the halls. It was tempting to see if they'd miss one...

HomeGoods, 8600 Ward Parkway, Suite 1025, plans a Sept. 6 opening. HomeGoods is a chain of off-price stores that is a sister company of Marshalls. It sells furniture, lighting, rugs, wall decor, gifts, bedding, bath items, toys and games.

• Payless ShoeSource closed last Thursday. A new mall entryway facing State Line Road will take its place. A new entryway also is going in on the Ward Parkway side of the mall, just south of a current entryway that is by Trader Joe’s. A new elevator also will serve that side of the mall.y

Also Freebird's Burrito's to 119th Street and Metcalf Ave. and maybe another Pickerman's this time on Wornell and 75th where Pepperjax's was going.

Seems like a strange fit for a couple of reasons. Assuming it would be in the former Dillards lot: is there even enough space to put one there? I don't think that one the size of the Midtown store would fit on the lot.

The Dillard's building has been gone for months. Originally some kind of multi-tenant building was intended for the space. Perhaps now they think Costco would be a better fit. It seems there would be enough space; that Dillard's was quite big.

I think all of them will go on that space, stacked on top a CostCo. Happy days.
