Interesting developments in Blue Springs. On the outskirts of downtown they are building higher-density (not high density, but higher density than in many suburbs) residential. They've also worked on (adopted? Its not really clear where it stands now) on form-based code, focusing on outcomes rather than zones.

Wow, that is progressive. Lee's Summit could benefit from this concept. There are a ton of duplexes out there that are vanilla in design.

Another thing they hope will bring investment -- a commuter rail stop, but they have little control over that.
