It does seem slow. I drove past yesterday and it looks like they are finished pouring concrete for the parking podium and have finally begun putting up the wooden framing for the apartments. Not much done to that end though.

Seems like this place has taken a long time to be completed....I wonder if Whole Foods will remain the anchor. Whole Foods is really starting to struggle as Walmart et al enter the organic foods market. They are closing quite a few stores. I would think that people motivated enough to go to Whole Foods would be the same that would shy away from Walmarts regardless of what they make available. But apparently its having an impact.

There's 6 grocery stores within 15 blocks of my house

The Westport to Brookside area can absolutely support three stores, especially with all the new residential in the area

The complaining on NextDoor about this development is hilarious. People thinking it was only going to be a Whole Foods...they were lied to!

This is why I think mailings still have a lot of value.

i made the mistake of starting to argue with people about it. every "anti" comment is more goofy than the last. i shouldn't be shocked that folks in the BKS area can be as "suburban minded" as anyone, but it nonetheless shocks me every time to read some of this stuff.

Of course, they had to throw in the anti-streetcar angle too.

Good work on your part.
