Los Alamos Market, 1667 Summit on the Upper Westside, renovated their building with an all-window storefront. The view faces the west and is epic. Still serving up the same great grub

I feel like Los Alamos doubled their price with the renovation.

How does the neighborhood like they have taken out all grocery items ? Think that would be a big loss.

Did anyone here actually use them as a bodega? Seems like it was always about the prepared foods.

LOVE their breakfast but started going elsewhere where our bill for two (large menudo, chilaqiules with 2 eggs and side of pork, 2 coffees) was always around $40 before tip.

Yeah I went in there last weekend and I'm not one to freak out about dinner bills but it seemed pretty high for what it was.

It was a LOT of food but damn.

2130 Madison, across the street, is not much better. However, it is better.

Here is the latest of 2123 Madison. Not much different. Railings added on the porch, poles supporting the porch enclosed, and grass laid.

Get a sneak peek at Fox and Pearl's new restaurant space
...
Their Midwestern bistro opened in a temporary space last year and now is readying for a grand opening Friday at the permanent location: 2143 S. Summit St. The roughly 4,000-square-foot space was built in 1907 and originally housed a Swedish lodge. Man I love the westside but I would totally hate living there with those neighbors between their fighting the condo development to closed off selling of property to complaining about market rates to now trying to zone their way into stopping housing just like they live in from being built. What s shame.
