At 17th & Washington (1710 Washington St) a warehouse is being turned into a bouldering gym called Sequence Climb that also features a multi purpose training room for yoga and fitness classes.

Looked like they cut the slab and poured the spread footings a week or two ago (I live close to the place and pass it on my drive to work everyday)Image
I'm told they're spending $4 million on the build out.

Great use of that space. If YJs is really moving to the old Sylvia's spot, that block could be getting a good boost.

Maybe time for someone to give the Coda/Pauly's/Jilly's spot another go.

I figured YJs would move to the East Crossroads instead of further west.

My only source is the rumors from May back on page 104 of the Misc Crossroads News thread.

Has anyone rented that space in the "Busy Bee Cafe" building, at E. 18th and Locust, since it's been renovated? That would be a good location for YJs.

At one point I remember seeing the Pending New Business Licenses saying "Grad School" was moving there, however the address for Grad School is now listed as the old CODA building.

There’s a place called Grad School in Springfield MO. Wonder if it’s them.

That guy is asking too much money for the space.

Don't know if this was mentioned before, but from what I heard (and now on their website), the old Novel/Lil's restaurant/house on 17th will be home to Fox and Pearl (from the Hank Charcuterie folks). Since the originally chosen location on Summit and Cesar Chavez will not be ready for some while, the old Novel building will be a temporary location, eventually supplanted by (at the moment) a Middle-Eastern restaurant.

Apparently the apartment project at 17th and Madison is still going to happen. According to EPC Real Estate's website, construction is beginning this summer. I thought this one was dead?

Still alive. I have been seeing a number of docs showing up on Compass related to this project. I believe the retail/mixed-use portion of the project has been nixed, but it's going forward as residential.

It's been under construction for a couple months or more. The townhomes are framed and the apartment foundation poured.

I was told they haven't decided if the townhomes will be rental or for sale. Contact them if interested!
