i don't know who the third and final tenant will be for that space, but it's an abbott properties project. i think a tech firm is in the westernmost stall. amazing rif raf giraffe mural on the south facade, if you didn't catch that.pash wrote:What about the recently renovated building on the southwest corner of 17th & Locust? There's a hair salon in the space toward the middle of the block on 17th, but what about the corner space?
Re: Misc Crossroads News
Who owns the surface parking directly north of the Firestone building? I would love to see all of these gobbled up by mixed-use buildings. They're the biggest eyesore and waste of space in the. Crossroads (besides all the single story industrial bullshit in the east Crossroads).pash wrote:It was already mentioned several pages back that Children's Mercy is no longer using the expansive stretch of parking lots between the railroad tracks and 20th Street east of McGee. Block Real Estate is now marketing the center chunk as a single parcel of 5.77 acres, about two city blocks.

Assurant owns the entire block Grand to McGee, 19th to 20th. This was the parking lot that gained the shared parking agreement.
Re: Misc Crossroads News
KC Assurant was bought by Sun LIfe. Maybe they have a different approach to real estate.
Re: Misc Crossroads News
angled parking is being added to the east side of oak through the crossroads in early august. this work is being done by city crews with local dollars, so the chance of it actually happening is strong. i think this will net about 14 spaces to the current on-street count.
Re: Misc Crossroads News
Black Dolphin is now open in the old Tank Room space.
Re: Misc Crossroads News
spoke too soon. just received notice of a liquor license application at 1805 locust for "grad school" ("Full Liquor by the Drink with a Sunday License" -- aka "tavern" aka "bar").DaveKCMO wrote:the rent is too damned high, i'm told. at least it has a roof now.pash wrote:Why isn't there anything in the Busy Bee spot yet?

There is quite the entertainment district in the east xroads.

Grad School is also a bar/burger joint in Springfield, MO
Re: Misc Crossroads News
they should have applied for a restaurant license, if that's the case. it's a lot less worrisome for consenters.mgh7676 wrote:Grad School is also a bar/burger joint in Springfield, MO

So we'll have another 'do as we say (less hours, no music, etc) or you don't get a license' sitch?DaveKCMO wrote:they should have applied for a restaurant license, if that's the case. it's a lot less worrisome for consenters.mgh7676 wrote:Grad School is also a bar/burger joint in Springfield, MO
