I read that Thou Mayest is closing is current location next to Grinders. Too bad, I really liked that place. I understand they are moving to another location. Anybody know where? Hopefully they stay in the general area.

I’m quite sure it will be in the Crossroads. They didn’t own the building, but one of their investors did.

Yes, last I heard there will be a large illuminated "church of scientology" on the roof. I think it will face both north and south.

I didn't mind it, never really had the food, the ruins part was pretty pisspoor they needed more stuff in there if they wanted it to be like the Ruins Bars in Budapest. I thought some of the beer came out with too much head and was a waste of money in the self serving taps. Some funny observations, almost everytime I went I would see is strippers in there chit chatting with some of their customers.

Did it go downhill? Last time I was there it was fine. 'So last 3 years ago' or sign of Xroads getting more supply (of eats/drinks) than demand? Have been wondering if a breaking point has hit.

If anything goes in that spot it will set up nicely for the next generic branding - Streetcar followed by type of business - Brewery, Coffee, Barbershop, Distillery

It hasn't hit the breaking point. This place was an expensive option that didn't have a clear direction it wanted to go in. Cajun type food with DJ's on the weekends while Steamboat Willy was playing on the TV's, with staff that would act bothered if you just asked for some silverware, etc.. It's been on the downhill before half of these new places opened up.

lol i know your reddit username now. but agreed. self-serve gimmick was fun for a minute, but no substance behind the gimmick. there are an awful lot of places within a five minute walk that i would rather be, so never ended up there, even if it was "fine."

They're busy enough that we get the stink eye when we show up without a reservation.

The food is just ok, the cocktails were better.
