'Thou Mayest.'
Try and say that out loud. Say it to another person, even.
I guess 'Peanches' was already claimed.

Cool. The east crossroads needs a coffee shop. Too bad I don't live a block away anymore, as this was the one thing I really wanted close by.

Think they will knock off Oddly Correct for the honor of best and hipsterest cafe? Oddly Correct is pretty tough to beat.pash wrote:Awesome. The hipsterest café yet.
I've heard their coffee's good. Anybody had it?

Sooner or later someone is going to open a speakeasy coffee shop and make a fortune.pash wrote:Awesome. The hipsterest café yet.

What's illicit about a coffee shop? How can there be a speakeasy cafè?chaglang wrote:Sooner or later someone is going to open a speakeasy coffee shop and make a fortune.pash wrote:Awesome. The hipsterest café yet.

I think most of the new blood in town would find Irish coffees gauche.
Who needs public wi-fi when it gets too bogged down to use and makes the customer turnover slower?
Re: Misc Crossroads News
There are speakeasy style bars in KC that do very well, and liquor is legal. People seem to love the idea of secrecy and exclusivity, even if it's based only on simply knowing the establishment exists and where it is located.WinchesterMysteryHouse wrote:What's illicit about a coffee shop? A truly illicit, underground speakeasy coffee shop would probably sell more than coffee if ya know what I mean.WinchesterMysteryHouse wrote:What's illicit about a coffee shop? Don't forget YJ's when it comes to the dirty-hippy/stoner/no-WiFi coffee-hipster market. Of course it doesn't do as much business, but it is the most dirty, most stonery, and most wifi hating of them all lol.pash wrote:Yeah, looks like they'll give Oddly Correct and Quay Coffee some good competition in the ne-plus-ultra coffee-hipster space. ... Broadway, of course, still has the dirty-hippy/stoner/no-WiFi coffee-hipster market locked up.

You're right, that temporarily slipped my memory. Where is my mind?

Apparently your cafe is so exclusive that even you don't know it exists.
