The new windows on the north face stand out badly and look horrible...

Saw them today for the first time...They do stand out. The building itself is pretty bleh so not too worried about those windows.

Why would they not try to match the existing windows?

I don't think so, I know people moving into the building in October and November due to their units not being ready until then...

I was at a friend's apartment there last night. Didn't get to ask, but theres obviously still a ton of construction happening.

They were offered 2 months rent free on a 15 month lease.

Overheard at CVS today that they expect to close in March "for several weeks" as the store is renovated.

Wonder if there is any chance that basement level gets opened up. SUPER CVS

Great news on CVS upgrade and extended lease. This project is indeed a pretty slick 'city within a city'. Is curious that the building once had its own zipcode.

When first opened, this was the largest office building in Missouri.

Wow, can't believe they ran with that story of one man's complaints against his landlord/building. This person was claiming it got to 40 degrees in his apartment over the winter??
KCTV5's crack team thoroughly investigated this claim before publishing slander: "Paige Bremner, Budd's neighbor, says she hasn't had any major concerns. "

Yeah, that was effectively someone taking Nextdoor complaints and turning it into BREAKING NEWS.

Speaking of Nextdoor, a post yesterday had a more specific timeframe for the CVS renovation - starting March 14 and reopening the first week of June.

Wow, 3 months for renovations seems a little overboard. Years ago I worked at best buy and we kept the store opened and had a team work overnights for 10 days and completely renovated the building including the restrooms and carpeting. What are they doing that would take months?

Possibly re-opening the lower level?

The permit only mentions one floor....so not a positive sign.
