Only knock on this building is that there is nothing going on at ground level except the headlamps of parked automobiles.

Minimalism typically fails, ending up looking cheap. They pulled this off! And the monolithic design nicely contrasts the columns next door.

The worst thing they could have done is do the current trend of quasi-old. They didn't try to mirror the mass of the building next door with as a modern building with the same roof line, columns and such. It belongs by itself as a structure and that's why it works so well.

Like the left/top frame but lacking on right. The incomplete box leading towards back tickles the brain.

I wonder what the plan is with this. Even if they clean it, what happens the next time it rains?

That looks pretty bad. Maybe there's some flashing or something that they just haven't installed yet.

Looks like the orange is some kind of protection covering that is being removed, that appears to leave residue when it rains. Shouldn't be an issue when complete.

I kinda of wish the orange and yellow colors were part of the design. It would add some color and contrast to the block.

My favorite part is the car parking at ground level.

Looks like they forgot to specify stainless or galvanized clips for the panels?

No solution besides replacing the clips I bet.

Holy shit, they hit a home run with this. That looks incredible. I'm not sure why I like this so much, but it just works with the surrounding structures.

I'm not sure either. I'm reserving judgment until I see the ground floor completely finished and clear of construction debris, and the rooms lit up.

I went by the other day specifically focused on the ground level and it already appears better than I was expecting...only one car hole.

Toured the new tower today. Officially opens tomorrow. This is the Parlor Suite (one per floor):

The floor-to-ceiling windows are great, as is the view from the 9th floor event space.
