What did this building 8th and Bank St. used to look like?

Issues concerning Downtown as described by the Downtown Council. River to 31st Street, I-35 to Bruce R. Watkins.

Not sure if this is what you are looking for but that location is almost exactly where the 8th street tunnel began its decent underground (2nd of two holes that were dug for the tunnel) to west bottoms. Some good pics of that area at this site http://hyperblogal.blogspot.com/2010/04/under-city.html

That was the Maxwell-McClure-Fitts Dry Goods Company warehouse (1906), 407 W. 8th Street. The nomination form to the National Trust as a historic district, dated 1978, said the building was still in excellent condition.

I seem to think that building was destroyed by fire, but I could be wrong about that.
