Status of Bridgeworks II (RM Townhomes)

Post by tella100 »

I am sure there is a thread on this project somewhere but I was unable to find it.  Anyone know the status on this project? (townhomes between Bridgeworks and 523 Grand in the RM).

Last I heard construction of the townhomes was to begin this spring but I see very little progress to date.

I'd like to see what these townhomes, and the site plan, look like.  They could be a really nice addition to the area if they're done well, and would certainly help stretch the RM area east, connecting Bridgeworks with other residential to west.  Here's hoping for the best...

I think that this phase of bridgeworks will have a modified target market since this phase includes parking in front with garages.  Not of the caliber you see in Olathe but the same urban design but just direct parking below ones unit.  Rather than a community lot where you have an assigned spot.  If I remember correctly they were going to target those with families that wanted to live in downtown, units that currently don't exist.  Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.
Put your money where your mouth is...live downtown.  Get out of the car and walk, shop, and play in the city.  Don't bring a suburban attitude/lifestyle to the city, rather be apart of changing the urban fabric for the better.

No website anymore, but I believe one of the addresses for MLS is 502 Oak.  Get the subdivision name and then you can do a search by subdivision to see everything.

Did my post get deleted?  Or did I just fuck up something quasi-technical, (like hitting enter)?

Chainlink fence up around the perimeter. Construction vehicles on site. They were cutting into the street when I went by (I'm assuming for water).

I wonder why someone would do that?  I live in Bridgeworks and love it!  Who knows could be the jackoffs that live on the east side of Columbus Park that like to walk over and tear up shit in the river market.

The floorplan is also great, they even have massive basements with hook-up for bathroom and 9-10' ceiling heights.  It could easily be turned into a sweet rec/TV room.
