Ambulance and fire trucks on Main this morning. Looked like they were stretchering someone from the hotel construction area.

Third floor in going in.

This block has a dramatically different feel already. It’s like the stop goes somewhere now.

Here's the rendering that's closest to that perspective.

I know it’s not going to be that color, but I wish Kansas City had some more colorful buildings. I think it breaks up the monotony of cities well

That's actually something I've always appreciated about the glass towers downtown. They all have unique color schemes. H&R is green, Town Pavilion is teal, 1KCP is blue, Commerce Bank's 80s tower is mauve, ect.

Oh definitely I agree that Kansas City’s skyline is quite picturesque for its size for in my opinion due to the amount of variation. I know that globally you basically get glass or stucco looking buildings now adays. I guess I would just rather see some color on the buildings if they aren’t going to do glass. Not all of them, but one or two a street.

I've been planning on starting a new thread about this very topic, and have been collecting examples.

Is this building not going to have windows facing DT or have they just not cut the openings for them yet? Seems strange if they don’t have windows with a view. Might be because the lot to the north could build and block the windows.

I thought it was strange that there were no north-facing windows as well. Wasn't there a plan at one time for development on the north side? It is possible they are just assuming that the north side view from the building will soon be blocked.

I’m sorry my post was so terribly confusing that it needed technical clarification.
