Now, Crossland Construction has taken over the job with 100 workers currently on the site daily, 250 are expected at its peak, and the market-rate apartment development is expected to be completed by August 2020.

“Within the five months we’ve been underway, there’s been more tangible progress on the building than we saw the whole time it was previously under construction,” said Cliff Cohn, a partner in the project.

Me: That’s great! The building is green and transit adjacent.

Developer: It has a 500 spot garage.

I love the ads that Market Station put up on hw 2nd & Delaware Construction fence.

On another note... Are there any plans to reconnect 2nd Street?

When I walked by on Saturday, it appears it's the real brick that's very thin (rather than the brick "wallpaper" like what's on the dual-flag Marriott on Baltimore). It looked like they were installing it like it was tile.

Brick is hardly a lazy choice, it's much better than the stucco lego block buildings happening elsewhere. But mixing brick with another material (stone/metal or minimal stucco) or making it two tone better than monotone solid brick.
