I think a Walgreen's would be a nice addition to that block.

Those trees against the building are ridiculous! I saw them installing them. They are way too close to the facade and are already taller than that canopy structure...running into it. I wonder if that structure will be sheathed in something or just remain as a skeleton?

I can't figure out why they would put that tree under the canopy either. I can see them putting in some type of shrub that grows to a certain height to add greenery, and then can be regularly trimmed.

It makes me wonder if the crew that did the landscaping made a mistake--perhaps because they weren't supervised by the landscape architect?

I also wish the architect might have designed the garage facade with a little more eye candy -- perhaps some sort of decorative tile on those concrete bands, or even a decorative pattern imprinted in the concrete.

There's a sign up for the retail space, looks like it's for lease.

county has assessed the new hotel at $35 million market value (up from $965K the year before). big boost to all jurisdictions, as well as the streetcar TDD.

It appears they've finally landed a tenant: Main Street Tavern is seeking a restaurant liquor license for 1524 Main, which is the retail stall in the garage.

Interesting. Was thinking that would be a great Bodega type location.

I wonder if Brad Nicholson will oppose their license?
