Hard to tell with all the scaffolding but I'm not seeing this quite yet: https://www.arterrakc.com/Gallery.aspx Maybe it's the orientation of the photo but is seems like a pretty basic brick blockhouse.

The brick also seems to be much lighter than the original renderings suggested although the above link also shows a light colored brick.

The south side will me a metal siding, with the rest being brick I think. This thing is going to look....odd.

I thought this view was pretty helpful. It's nice to at least generally visualize the end concept, even though it still seems like a bit too much of a struggle for how close they are to completion.

I don't get the negative vibes.
It's going to be different and that does not equal bad.
Kind of feel like I'm reading a Yelp review of any bbq place in town.

Yeah I'm not getting the hate. I think the scale is perfect (fits beautifully between the other 10-12 story buildings in Freighthouse), I like the cream brick, the staggered balconies and the rooftop common area. I do agree the metallic finish on the back is potentially disconcerting but it's a little difficult to tell at this point.

I think it looks nice. You can really see how much they exaggerated the architectural details in that rendering though. The actual building is far more subdued, but I think it will be a nice addition to the freighthouse area.

So is it cream city brick? I actually think it would be cool if it was. Might be a little jarring I suppose; KC is not Milwaukee after all. Excited to see this in October.

The color fits in fine from a distance. It makes everything not just red.

Took this today. About the same as the last picture posted, but you can see a little more detail if you view it full size.

Compared to the pictures on the leasing website, it looks like the real thing will have less balconies. Or, at the very least, they’ve been moved because that top floor should have at least three on the rear.

It doesn't seem to look anywhere near the early renderings, which looked slick with two tone charcoal-like dark facade - one of best looking projects downtown. It looks like this might turn into a bland light cinder block and a below avg project in terms of aesthetics. Suppose we should wait til complete.

I keep getting Walnut Tower vibes but I so want to be wrong. Nothing against Walnut Tower, it's a great building in its own way.
