Re: ARTerra - 21st and Wyandotte
Ground was "broken" last week and their have been construction crews out every day since. It appears they are maneuvering utilities.
Re: ARTerra - 21st and Wyandotte
Increasing costs force Copaken to ask more from the public kitty.
"Since early last year, the estimated development cost for the 12-story ARTerra apartment project has increased from $27.4 million to $40.7 million. Without additional public support, the project won't happen, development partner Jon Copaken said. "

Re: ARTerra - 21st and Wyandotte
How do they explain the increase?
Re: ARTerra - 21st and Wyandotte
Increased labor/construction costs.grovester wrote:How do they explain the increase?
Re: ARTerra - 21st and Wyandotte
That seems unlikely. How old was their original estimate?
Re: ARTerra - 21st and Wyandotte
Uncanny timing on that article.

Go up about 8-10% per year. Thats a lot more than the increase.JLowe2018 wrote:Increased labor/construction costs.grovester wrote:How do they explain the increase?

Re: ARTerra - 21st and Wyandotte
Everything is expensive these days because everyone is so busy. Construction is booming
Re: ARTerra - 21st and Wyandotte
That's a New Orleans during Katrina spike.
Re: ARTerra - 21st and Wyandotte
Increased incentives approved. Construction to start in first quarter of 2017....allegedly.

They also mention that their original estimate was bogus and they have since switched contractors.JLowe2018 wrote:Increased labor/construction costs.grovester wrote:How do they explain the increase?
