Sure, now that the view from the trench is just starting to become interesting, everyone wants to cover it.

While texting, no doubt. This project looks massive and very cool to boot!

That odd bump out on the northwest side is in a different position than shown in any of the renderings. What is its purpose other than to make a few rooms a foot or two larger? Aesthetically it seems nonsensical.

Interesting, it's not on the plans either.

the 2 story open space at the bottom will be the outdoor terrace off the bar. It should be nice and quiet place to enjoy a cocktail!

No, this is the bump out further to the west almost to Wyandotte. You have to look at the photo. The first photo here also shows it.

Also, the terrace you mention is directly over a freeway. I wouldn't say it will be quiet. It will have all the noises of the city. I expect the streetcar ding ding to be part of the background noise.

Wow, that thing is just massive when viewed from the highway. It's turning out better than I thought so far.

I still hate how squatty it is. The first rendering was so much more sex.

The original design was never real. They've been on variants of what's being built for two years.

The first rendering was built in Chicago. Yeah, sucks.

Withholding judgement until completion of course, but it is remarkable that the similar shaped and sized Westin looks less heavy and more graceful.

It was very much a real rendering and we all know the current design has been around for a bit but okay that wasn't the point.

The original design would've been a true skyline changer, and I morn how it was stunted, but at least what we're getting will be a bit better than this

I couldn't find a version that wasn't a victim of the photobucket watermark curse
