I noticed today the forms to pour the floor of 8 are going in. So the room towers will start to take shape in the next few weeks.

Looks like they are encasing the exposed limestone bluff above Truman behind a giant stone wall.

Erosion might be an issue though would think it can be managed.

That dark grey precast installed on Baltimore is somewhat foreboding. Not very pedestrian friendly, would make me want to walk on other side of street.

Too bad the Nest cam is in the wrong position to get a view of the maquettes they have put up of the exterior finishes.

Does anyone know what the pre-fab structures in the camera foreground are for?

I believe it is for testing the curtain wall (window) system to ensure it stands up to leaks and other stresses.

It is to show what the exterior finishes will look like. They have something similar at the Gallerie site and have done it for just about every building put up at Crown Center.

Looks like they are falling behind schedule. No way they can put up two floors on the parking/meeting structure in 2 weeks.

Rain does that.

I fully expect they padded the schedule.

I see it every day from Oak. At full height it's going to be a signature tower in the crossroads.
