Being next to the PAC, and nearer to the Ballet, Crossroads galleries and restaurants/clubs is what I'm talking about.
BAP is a dead zone, always has been. The 17th & Broadway location gives them a higher visibility and profile which is really what UMKC wants in a downtown location. They want the visibility and vibe of the Crossroads and the arts in general to attract the best and brightest.

Not to be picky but there is no PAC in KC. There are PACs in other cities such as Tulsa but we have the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts so it would be the KCPA or, if you wish, a CPA.

Another location factor: all the downtown campus students will have to take classes at the main campus. With that in mind, south Crossroads would be more convenient than BAP.

Proximity to bus stops and/or the streetcar should be a top concern.

I would say complimenting the new party car’s colors over grey is a bit different than correcting people’s acronym usage.

i saw a weinermobile going south on main the other day from afar and thought the new streetcar had arrived until i was about 3 blocks away. this is super unrelated to this entire thread but a weinerstreetcar would i assume bring in the big $pon$or$hip buck$$$, food for thought mr. mayor @im2kull

The additions would obviously need to be stretched to the east to add class rooms and offices, but I think that it would be the best looking option. The materials that would need to be used would be expensive though so a big donor like the Kauffmans would need to step up again. Does anyone know the specifics of the arts campus? Like soft,number of rooms, etc? I know they wanted like an auditorium or such

I can't imagine how even an expanded version of the 3rd shell could fill all the needs of the Conservatory, even without including the theater department.

If the original campus location were used, the 3rd shell could be a nice additional amenity, but I would think the extra expense might be prohibitive.

Is the lot strait East of the PAC not available? North of parking garage.

When in the process did they scrap the 3rd shell? It would be cool to see the original plan executed

When the cost of the two shells hit 450 mi. The original budget was in the 375 range.
