Downtown Buildings with Activity
Re: Downtown Buildings with Activity
The old LaRue/Lane Blueprint building on Baltimore will house the relocated downtown Mildred's (which is hidden inside Ten Main Center):
Re: Downtown Buildings with Activity
interestingly (to me), the larue building also currently shows as for sale on loopnet. $5.2M asking. https://www.loopnet.com/Listing/908-Bal ... /15599105/

Based on 30,000 sq feet they're selling the connected commercial space in the Union Carbide Buildng toowahoowa wrote: ↑Mon May 20, 2019 10:40 am interestingly (to me), the larue building also currently shows as for sale on loopnet. $5.2M asking. https://www.loopnet.com/Listing/908-Bal ... /15599105/
Interestingly, the listing document uses the original floor plans for the first tenant

...don't get me wrong I like Mildred's quite a bit and am looking forward to having this on the block.

Most people associate Mildred’s, the popular cafe and coffee shop, with the Crossroads Arts District.
But did you know there’s another Mildred’s in downtown, one that predates the Crossroads location at 19th and Wyandotte by almost a decade?
Hah... for me I learned there was a Mildred's in the Crossroads just now when I read this article. I only knew about / had been to the one in Ten Main.

Is anyone alarmed that few babies are being named Mildred anymore? Who will operate restaurants/coffee shops in the future?

Looks like they're finally starting to take the scaffolding off the roof of the 80s commerce building. Yay

Speaking of that building Commerce is moving their branch on walnut to the 10th and main corner.

Wow. Wonder what they'll do with the old lobby? Event space?KCPowercat wrote: ↑Sat Jun 08, 2019 9:41 am Speaking of that building Commerce is moving their branch on walnut to the 10th and main corner.

Question: What is the building immediately north of The Green Lady Lounge and what is going on with it? Some of the windows were boarded up when I went by is the other day. Thanks for any info and sorry if this has already been answered!
