judging from their KCK and KCMO locations, likely another lunch only operation. kind of a bummer, and was hoping for some kind of ethnic food, but better than vacant.

anybody tried chiknpie? facebook reviews looking mighty bad.

Sounds 'good enough' but sure wish a Jersey Italian in KC would open up a real deli that does a sub right...

Lunch is where all the money is in restaurants. If they do it smart they will tune their lunch business like Plowboys did to the point they can fund dinner operations off lunch takings.

Walked past it yesterday and there was a sign up saying something along the lines of “Coming Soon - Homestyle Chinese Food”

I've been a couple of times. Its a nice, quick, and cheap lunch option. Their basic options are their house beef, chicken, or tofu paired with either rice, noodles, or salad. Haven't tried the burgers. As a person that eats out frequently over lunch, I'd kill for more fast-casual/fast-food options that aren't deli sandwiches.

Glad to hear it. I may stop in at some point...but probably not for a burger.

My biggest complaints are the sterile environment and the blaring 90s country music. Food though, isn't bad.

Exactly. Was literally a chicken and burger shop for what, a week? It could go at any time!

They must have kept the same radio station from the chicken spot.

Maybe this is how "home-style" Chinese food is supposed to be, but I had the beef on rice and it was really bland. It tasted like canned beef stew on rice.

TOWN PAVILION REIMAGINED

The historic Town Pavilion building gets an art-focused upgrade. Improvements will drastically transform the building and include the removal of the iconic staircase and the addition of a concierge desk, as well as upgrading retail storefronts, installing video walls, creating a feature wall element, and adding security features and equipment. In addition to the aesthetic improvements and new finishes – which will incorporate exposed concrete, bright white walls, and natural wood tones – security turnstiles with visitor management system will be installed to elevate the building to current Class A office standards.
