This was mildly funny for a couple weeks in April, but it's time for an admin to check the IPs "Darlene" posts from to see which Rag regular still thinks this is amusing.

Yeah don't feed the troll. And if honestly not trolling she needs to stay in Olathe and bow out of this site.

Give Darlene a break. She probably just misspoke, er, mistyped, and meant to say "wouldn't." Happens all the time, even to the best of us.

Lol wtf
I thought you were making a joke. I guess not.

As someone who once moved into a loft over a quiet storefront business that years later was replaced buy a business that decided they needed to have DJs and/or amplified bands a couple nights a week and operate machinery and power tools at 2:00 in the morning, I have to admit I do feel for them. (But at least Freestyle closes at 10pm.)

Freesytle Poke is not open until 2am, it closes at 10pm and I'm assuming most prepwork is done at 8am or so. I'm assuming this person maybe works a 2nd or 3rd shift kind of job and is bitching

I mean it would suck no doubt....but you rent a second floor unit in a downtown neighborhood that has commercial space below.....got to factor that stuff in when you are looking at places.

Right. Its not like there was a zoning change or something. It is being used the way it is intended, so...

the main issue for me would be them propping open the doors that lead to the residential areas. Not cool.

And the garbage/rat issue. I've had that in my neighborhood when a food business moved into a place that hadn't had food before. To their credit, the city did help managing it and the problem went away. Having enough dumpsters with lids and emptying them regularly goes a long way.

On a related note, while on the 311 system just now reporting a traffic issue, I notice that Tribe has racked up a couple of noise complaints.

Betty Rae’s Opening Soon in River Market
The missing item on the Delaware Street food scene menu, a great place for dessert, will be filled the last week of August with the opening of Betty Rae’s Ice Cream at 412 Delaware.

Betty Rae’s Founder David Friesen is delighted to open a second helping of the famed Waldo ice cream parlor along a stretch of Delaware in the River Market that’s seen several great food venues open in recent months.
