density mix is good for the neighborhood...especially given the plans for the rest of the block.

I can see that, if he ends up with a wrapped garage, Ill be incredibly happy. However if there is a surface lot for the townhouse parking, idk it just seems lazy and dumb. I'll still be happy to have a smaller parking lot, just seems like a wasted opportunity.
If the townhouses are flushed to the existing and a garage and the rest of the development this block could be awesome.

the townhouses will have their own attached garage. I agree there shouldn't be a surface lot left on this block if done right.

I saw the liquor license for that a few weeks back while making database updates for a charity pub crawl. Couldn't find any info whatsoever about it.

The license I pulled was at the state level. I like to use those because I can filter them to get exactly what I need, then import them directly into my DB. KCMO's report is easier to read, but since it's a PDF it makes for a lot of copying and pasting.

PRIMARY LICENSE 248901
PRIMARY TYPE RBD
LICENSEE SECOND NATURE CONCEPTS LLC
DBANAME TRIBE
STREET NUMBER 316
STREET DELAWARE STREET

No info about "Second Nature Concepts" either except that it was created in May.

Well, certainly a crane will have to go back up if the project is ever to be finished. But no, I take this as a sign we're in for the long stall.

Second time this has happened in recent times in KC. The other project was in the West Plaza and that took forever to get back on track. When it finally started up again, they demolished the building (which was a real shame) and built something entirely new and much less ambitious in its place.

I sincerely hope that doesn't happen with this project. It is particularly ambitious and worthy of completion. Hopefully it doesn't stagnate too long.

Found a new rendering...

This is for an 87-unit apartment building directly north of the River Market North streetcar stop. The development is called 'Ashland's' and it was designed by NPSJ.

Based on the rendering it looks like it is mostly a 6-story building, but 7 on the far east side. I see 2 spaces for street-level commercial/retail along 3rd although one or both could just be entrances.

Looks like it has some above-ground structured parking hidden on the back side of the building.

Here is the link.
