It's probably cheap, not to mention Kansas City has shown it wants to move the bridge west, which means all the developer has to do is build a good building, wait and watch the value skyrocket once the bridge is moved.

It looks like an office use to me. Taller floor-to-floor. Open floor plans. There are no walls to be seen.
I have no idea what this is. There's no real info on the architect's website, though it was grouped with another rendering they did for a similar infill building at 3rd and Delaware for Epoch.

This is a timber gram structure. I wonder what will happen when a car throws out a cigarette as they go by. ;)

Confirmed last night that Anton is the one planning to open a new concept in the existing Cafe Al Dente space. Sounds like Farmhouse will be staying for now where they are, but the owner of the building is trying to get them to shrink in size somehow - wants the basements space or something like that which didn't make sense to me.

There seems to be no better endorsement of placing a business along the streetcar than an owner of another business along the line wanting to double down.

pretty sure it's a separate concept. i want to say he told me it was going to be a burger joint, now that he's raising his own cattle.

Farmhouse doesn't really seem to be an efficient use of space. You could definitely pare down the restaurant with closer tables and put something on the other side.

I've heard burgers etc. - a casual joint with a wine bar attached. Anton has been talking about this or some variation of it for years now and has always wanted to do something in the River Market area like this. My understanding is that this would be in addition to Anton's and not a replacement.

FWIW, it appears a surveying crew is on the site of the second phase of RM West. And they just cut down the only tree in the middle of that lot.

Sign up on Wyandotte showing new townhomes. Got some details saying they would like to start construction within 6 months...no estimate on prices yet.

You mean this sign?

Kind of surprised the Denver developer went with that after his grandiose hotel idea. And I don't really like that his version of townhome is even worse than the two that exist already in that parking lot. Looks like he's including a street parking lot instead of parking garage like the existing ones.

Back in August, Kevin Collison reported that the developer planned the townhomes AND the hotel tower:
He plans to build six townhouses along Wyandotte next to existing townhouses developed by the late Tom Trabon. That work is expected to begin this winter.
His grandest plan calls for a 12-story combination boutique hotel and condominium building at the southeast corner of Third and Wyandotte. The hotel would be on the lower floors, the condos above.
https://cityscenekc.com/denver-investor ... er-market/

So, the six townhomes will go immediately south of the existing two, up to but not including the corner lot owned by Chris Sally / Iconic Development where he has a sign advertising that office building proposal.
The hotel building would go north of the existing two townhomes.

Also, your pic isn't displaying.

The pic does show townhouses to both sides of the existing....not matching the proposal above ...not sure which is actually going to be the plan.

River market is too dense for this, even river market west is better for the Area even though it looks like a child slapped together legos

That's just one reason this new developer concerns me.

I swear I saw those renderings months ago. I think they are older than the cityscenekc article.

Edit: post on this forum from February: http://discuss.nextkansas.city/t/river- ... chat/111/9?

Plus, when I was looking for that link I noticed that it looks like Craig Slawson, the developer, is a member of that forum.
