There was a preliminary rendering released, but I thought this was further down the road. Preleasing already, wow.

This is the NW corner 3rd & Delaware, across from The Farmhouse outdoor seating. Are you thinking of the SW and SE corners of 5th & Main, across from Minsky's?

Right am aware, but thought I read it will rely on parking at 5th/Main. Or that taking away the lot for DE apts next door will rely on 5th/Main garage.

For the people living on the south side of Delaware Lofts, their Delaware / partial skyline view will soon be replaced by naked rich people.

Weekdays: $3 first three hours, then $1/hr after
Weekends daytime: $1 first three hours, $1/hr after

Its like we are finally becoming a real city!!! I also noticed that this city is finally showing up on the pay for parking app called Spot Hero, i like to use this in other cities to pre pay for parking.

Many who work along the streetcar line have figured out they can get free parking in CM. Was inevitable that wouldn't last.

Look forward to streetcar expanding to riverfront. To keep cars out of downtown, ideally there would be a mega public garage (TIF OK in this case) built near Paseo Bridge. Until we build up better metro transit that downtown workers would actually use, would be a good use of TIF to allow for affordable public parking, keep that many cars out of downtown and is a benefit for everyone.

Though free metro wide bus service would be better.

So someone paying $9 for 9 hours of parking during a workday = $45/wk. How does that compare with structured or surface lot parking options in the loop?

My garage charges $85/month for non-residents, and I'm pretty sure that's on the higher end of monthly parking rates in the loop.

You seem to have surmised that this change is intended to discourage full day parking in these spaces.

Garage parking is available at 300 Wyandotte for $65 or 70 per month.
Open lot parking is available within a 5 minute walk of the city market for $40 per month or less.

I know there are various reasons for the parking fees, but one of the local newscasts last night interviewed a woman who said she parked in the City Market lots for free every day and took the streetcar to her job downtown. Was just wondering how comparable the rates were downtown for the 9-to-5ers.

My mother got a check for a bus pass each month. Think they paid about the same for a garage spot if she had driven downtown

off-street surface parking can be had for as little as $3 per day and up to over $100 per month in some garages. "market rate" is generally $55-85/month in a garage, depending on location. 3rd and grand will probably start charging this year, at least during the peak market periods on saturdays.

I hope they get those doors fixed up. Is there a long-term plan for it?
